Matters Needing Attention

1. Always check the tension of the saw chain. When checking and adjusting, please turn off the engine and wear protective gloves. The suitable tension is that when the chain is hung at the lower part of the guide plate, the chain can be pulled by hand.

2. There must always be a little oil on the chain. The oil level of saw chain lubrication and lubricating oil tank must be checked before each operation. The chain must not work without lubrication. If it works with dry chain, the cutting device will be damaged.

3. Never use old oil. The old engine oil can not meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.

4. If the oil level in the oil tank does not decrease, there may be a problem with the lubrication delivery. Check chain lubrication and oil circuit. Passing through the contaminated filter screen can also lead to poor supply of lubricating oil. The lubricating oil filter screen in the oil tank and pump connecting pipe shall be cleaned or replaced.

5. After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain needs 2 to 3 minutes of running in time. Check the chain tension after running in and readjust if necessary. The new chain needs to be tensioned more often than the one that has been used for some time. In the cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide plate, but the saw chain can be moved on the upper guide plate by hand. If necessary, tighten the chain again. When the working temperature is reached, the saw chain will expand and droop slightly, and the transmission joint at the lower part of the guide plate can not come out of the chain slot, otherwise the chain will jump, and the chain needs to be re tensioned.

6. The chain must be relaxed after work. The chain will contract as it cools, and a chain that does not relax will damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned in the working state, the chain will shrink when it cools down. If the chain is too tight, the crankshaft and bearing will be damaged.
